Getting Started with AUDITDEX

Step-by-step onboarding guide covering account setup, dashboard navigation, your first audit engagement, and core platform concepts.

Welcome to AUDITDEX

AUDITDEX is AugIx’s enterprise audit and compliance platform. This guide walks you through the first 30 minutes of using the platform — from account activation to launching your first audit engagement.

Step 1: Account Activation

After your account is provisioned, you will receive an activation email from noreply@augixsys.com. Click the activation link, set your password (minimum 12 characters, mixed case, one symbol), and complete MFA enrollment.

Supported MFA methods:

  • TOTP authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator)
  • Hardware security key (FIDO2/WebAuthn)
  • SMS OTP (available but not recommended for enterprise accounts)

Step 2: Dashboard Overview

The AUDITDEX dashboard is organized into five primary areas:

Area Purpose
Engagements Active and archived audit engagements
Risk Register Enterprise risk inventory with scoring
DRL Data Request Lists — evidence collection pipeline
Controls Control library, testing workpapers, findings
Reports Draft and published audit reports

The notification bell (top right) surfaces overdue items, pending approvals, and system alerts. Check it daily during active engagements.

Step 3: Create Your First Engagement

  1. Navigate to Engagements → New Engagement
  2. Enter engagement name, scope, and objective
  3. Select the applicable framework(s) from the library (ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, IATF 16949, etc.)
  4. Assign the engagement lead and reviewer
  5. Set the planned start and end dates
  6. Click Create

The platform will automatically generate a recommended control set based on the selected framework(s). You can accept the recommendation, modify it, or build from scratch.

Step 4: Configure Evidence Collection

Before fieldwork begins, configure the DRL for your engagement:

  1. Open the engagement and navigate to DRL
  2. For each evidence request, enter: description, responsible party (email), due date, and accepted file formats
  3. Click Publish DRL — responsible parties will receive email notifications with secure upload links

Evidence submitted through the portal is automatically timestamped, hashed, and linked to the relevant control in the engagement.

Step 5: Begin Control Testing

Once evidence is collected:

  1. Open a control in the engagement’s Controls tab
  2. Review the linked evidence
  3. Complete the testing procedure (the platform will prompt you based on the selected framework)
  4. Record your conclusion: Effective, Deficient, or Material Weakness
  5. Attach your workpaper and submit for review

The reviewer receives an automated notification and can approve, return for revision, or escalate.
